Dagnabbit.

The US edition comes in a lovely jewel case with a full-size slipcover. Which means I'll have to shell out for White Bread Black Beer again.

And it'll be worth every penny again!

I think it's fantastic. Classic old-school hip-hop lettering made all folksy by turning it into felt and denim (could that be read as a possible shout out to Lawrence? Hmmm...).

I have to disagree with GHP, though - who on Earth would consider Cupid & Psyche '85 to have a "no-frills" design?! It had raised gold letters, fer cryin' out loud! ;o)

There is also an image of the cover of the single, and the names of the two extra tracks on it: Hands Up and The Last Time I Looked on this website.

Vinyl version will be minus "After 6", by the look of it. I guess 14 songs was too much to cram into two grooves. ;-)

I don't think it's a particularly big leap from any of the old covers, both Songs to Remember and Cupid & Psyche 85 both had 'no-frills' designs... I think it's better this way, though the cover for Provision in particular was innovative and stylish, I think this more straightforward approach could actually help gain commercial ground rather than lessen it. It does what it says on the tin!

Hmmm..still dont think its a "patch" on previous covers, and very unlikely to attract casual buyers..one strictly for the fans i think...

Apparently the cover is needlework of Green's wife Alice, that puts it in a different perspective. Apologies for all less subtle reactions, i guess in the end it turns out to be great !

Low profile :)

I guess that's what Green wants. Nothing too fancy, just good music, fun and a few Guiness.
