Can't speak for anyone else, but ground level at the Scala was like rush hour on the tube after a security alert. Dancing was restricted to knee flexing and head nodding to avoid hitting the person next to you. Not cool moves, you understand, but the only ones possible in such a restricted space ... Also, no idea who the Perfect Way guy was (I heard him too), but I imagine if the band are to do a US tour the song would be a sensible addition to the current setlist repertoire, as Perfect Way was the biggest Scritti hit in America.

I couldn't help but dance at the Scala show... pretty sure that my boyfriend and I were the only ones moving though, and we got some stony looks. Things did pick up a little for Wood Beez… perhaps I just see things a little differently being a little younger than the average Scritti fan ;). Personally, I regard anyone who doesn’t want to dance with a great deal of suspicion, because how could you not? Give the boy some much needed ancouragement!

And the twat who called shouted for Perfect Way? He was at the Scala too, and I wanted to lamp him. No one at any of the earlier gigs did anything that insensitive.

Nice to see the clips from gigs some of us can only saliva over the thought of being there.
One thing that strikes me. Doesn't anyone dance at these gigs? The audience looks like they're turned to stone.
OK then. Own up. Who's the twat who shouted out for Perfect Way then?

Fantastic! The sound quality is good enough that you can tell it was arranged and performed really well and makes me mad that my work shifts haven't allowed me to attend any of these recent gigs. I think it's really nice that they didn't mess with the C&P arrangements. It would have been a lot simpler to do it more in the style of the demo but keeping those elements in has made me want to listen to the track again. Wood Beez was never my favourite and, brilliantly produced though C&P was, it's great to hear the song in another context.

Green is nodding his head during the first few measures. Was it really hard for him to listen to this track again? I guess not, I guess he still thinks it's great. I mean: it is a great track. Even 20 years later!

Give me chills all over. I hope to hear it live one day soon, that's for sure!
