Too difficult, but if my iTunes play counter is anything to go by:

1 Petrococadollar
2 P.A.s (on 'Early' - originally on the 4 A-sides 12" ep. Last record I bought in the 1970s - 31 December, it was!)
3 Tinseltown to the boogiedown
4 Jacques Derrida (7" version)
5 Hypnotize

Hi Scrittifans,
I'm a Dutch Scritti Polittifan since 'The word girl'. My English is not perfect, sorry for this. I met Green Gartside once afther his try-outgig with Alexis Taylor at Koko end march 2007. There's not so much I could ask of him between the short time I saw him but what I remember one of intresting things he says: He's working on a new album with songs on the same style as 'Hands up', a album with a very dynamic sound. At the same time Green's sound engineer 'Andy Houston' spoke a few words with me and we've got the same preference of song from the last album WBBB: 'Petrococadollar'. So, now my playlist that depend on my mood, but this moment I choose 5 tracks over 5 different albums:
Asylums in Jerusalem
Perfect way (single version)
All that we are
Mystic handyman
Petrococadollar

See you later and greatings from Belgium

Ha ha....you might have to throw in a pineapple or three as well :-)

I'll admit, it is a tough choice. My thoughts are:

The Word Girl
Robin Hood
Ummm
Sugar and Spice
Cooking

But it'd probably be different if you asked me in a week!

Does this board need re-enlivening, or what?!!!!

So, in the absence of any new music from SP in the near future (it would seem), let's revert to good old fashioned entertainment.

OK - Scritti Desert Island Discs:

You can only take FIVE (that's 5) Scritti tracks to your desert island from where you, er, won't ever return (sorry about that).

What's your playlist?

Tom Morley is bracketed with Scritti for exactly the same reason Paul and John are bracketed with The Beatles.

To John
If you need to ask why Tom Morley is 'bracketed with a Scritti Politti' & is present at a discussion about post-punk then you really don't know anything about Scritti Politti at all.
