Any reason why "She's a Woman" with Shabba Ranks isn't on this page? I just got it off of a reggae compilation (which also has a few other fun reggae covers on it), used to have it on 12-inch. A fun track...

Also, just noticed that Green actually sings the bridge in "When It's Over" - the video's on youtube and his profile actually makes an appearance! I didn't notice before since the vocals were mixed so low.

"Not sure about Gamson's involvement on the Adele Bertei track??"Dude, just listen to it! Musically it is essentially a Scritti track--that's ALL Gamson on the keyboards and arrangements..he's using many of his signature sounds and the style/chords are unmistakable.
Cheers! Love of a Lifetime as well, is esentially a masterpiece Gamson/Scritti track with some unbelievable singing by Chaka.

'when it's over' sounds very scritti-esk and the some of the choirs are as green as could be. true FMA that the synths and drums are 121 the same as those on 'love of a lifetime'.

Well, as far as the song "When It's Over", there should be no question what David Gamson's involvement was. His keyboard and drum handywork is all over it. Sounds like around the same time as "Love of a Lifetime".

It's well worth having a look at the Chaka Khan video (on youtube, for example) for hideous 80s fashion and choreography (dancers in lurid day-glo spandex).

Green did backing vocals on "I Wanna Be Loved" by Elvis Costello.

"Wrap It Up" is just dreadful, though!

Hmm, maybe not the most obvious collaboration ever made, nonetheless, in Eurythmics defense, they had that whole 'Futuristic Cabaret' theme happening on the 'Sweet Dreams' LP. This was never a single, but fits beautifully in context of this collection of recordings. Eurythmics made their name as a soulful synth band, often appearing with back-up singers in beehive wigs. This particular track only hinted at the kind of soul Annie Lennox could get into and in fact features Mr. Gartside swapping every other line with Annie - hard to discern at first, but this was the gender-bending 80s so it seems almost inevitable that something like this would come along! It's also surprising since the "Sweet Dreams" LP is so much earlier in the 80s than the Gartside's "Cupid and Psyche 85" offering. In any case, I think it holds up in context. Good lord, at least it was Soft Cell...
