The current site videos are certainly supported by Open Source viewing applications. I've seen more Scritti Politti in the last few days than I ever thought I would! Nice to know I'm not the only fan, too. I fell off my chair when I watched the live performance videos! Works fine in Kubuntu Linux with Firefox, Mplayer or VLC, and various codecs I forget the names of, and on an old Pentium 3 PC as well as a newer Athlon 64.

I'm particularly happy to find the BEF single. I've been trying to find it for ages. Love the Bonnie-and-Clyde video that I didn't know about.

Scritti Politti's music stands the test of time because it doesn't quite seem rooted in any time. Or to put it another way, quality is timeless.

I am using QT 7.1 on PC under Firefox and don't have problems. QuickTIme is tricky, I know. Has been like that for years, but WMV (Microshaft video format) is even worse.

We're all for open standards which we hopefully can support one day, but not now... Ogg is still rather exotic :)

Tim, I have the same problem. Basically I've never been able to play any of the videos that were transferred from the Scritti Cola site although I can play the others. I mentioned this problem quite a while back when it first arose for me on Scritti Cola, though luckily I had seen all the vids before on that site. Looks like we both need a PC upgrade!
