The only good thing about this is Green’s voice.
Thanks for that.
I now have blood streaming from my ears, from sticking knitting needles into them.
IMHO……Better to be heard by new fans than gathering dust in the archives of ’80’s fans only. Turn up the volume and enjoy watching the honeys shaking their thangs!
I have to agree with TRICKINICKY. This will bring Green’s voice to a whole new audience who might find the rest of his work interesting. I also have to agree with Ernst, it really is just a copy of all of the other remixes that use just one sample from a track. It is a shame that the Audio Theives didn’t sample more of the track as I am sure that they could have fitted these in as well. I am happy to hear new mixes, but they need to be good. I thought that “Like I absolutely love you “was excellent.
What a boring remix! However, the good thing is not only will it bring Green´s voice to a new audience but it will also bring some revenue to the composer of Wood Beez.
We are The Audio Thieves…
1. This is not Green’s voice but a mate of ours..
2. This is not the formal release but the remix of thecover that we released again re recording all instruments including Green’s vox
3. We just shot the video to the remix in Poland coz we felt the remix was better
4. Green never gave his consent but offerred to sell us the rights for a ridiculous fee
5. We do not reveal our identities because we are ‘thieves’ who do not seek fame from others’ ideas
6. Thanks for your feedback & for thinking it really was Green’s voice..
Looks like our job is done here..

Nonsense – the track posted here very obviously samples Green’s vocal (and only his). I’ve heard the re-recorded song on your record company’s website and no-one would mistake it for Green’s voice.
…..’a mate of ours’…..err..right. Like a lot of posters on this site, I’ve listened to this track on and off for 20 years and I’m pretty sure I can tell the difference between GG and your mate from the karaoke club…
Still, well done – you’ve managed to be woefully unimaginative in both your recording and your excuse for it…
Cheers!
Well, it’s self-evidently the only bit they could sample without incoprporating any beat accompaniment – it’s just the a capella intro lifted from the single.
Total rubbish of course – wholly unimiaginatice as Gav comments elsewhere above (though I’ve heard worse – that mashup of all the ‘Cupid’ singles is a nightmare beyond redemption). But (…and it’s a small but…) the old gay raver in me did rather enjoy the VERRRRY gay disco ascending sequence from Bm7>Csharp m7>F sharp m over Green’s hook line – plus the great bassline like on those late 70s/early 80s SOLAR Records (Shalamar/The Whispers etc). We’re not fooled by the ludicrous video – I’ve rarely heard a gayer record.
A shining moment for all concerned.
Alright, listen here fags and wannabe 80’s sequence children…
This is NOT Green’s voice u unimaginative know nothing about music and production technology idiots! Here are the vocals dry and without pampering…

Why is the world so full of morons like you people????
Nighty nite now…

That’s painful to listen to – his voice sounds like a cross between Savage Garden and Peter Andre. Have you actually heard what was posted here? Your pal isn’t singing on it, cloth ears. It’s not our fault if the wrong video (with Green’s vocals) was posted on youtube. Actually I think it’s OK in an utterly formulaic 2001 sort of way.
Haven’t found a spot in the mp3-file where ‘Aretha Franklin’ sounds the same. The rest sounds like the voice used in the video. It’s confusing because a synth is playing in sync with the vocals and there’s a lot of effects used.
All in one: I think the ‘fake’ vocals were used :)
Christ, now it REALLY sounds bad. As Richard said, most of the comments were made re: the Youtube posting you muppet.
The voice in the posted video is Green’s voice. The voice on the posted mp3 should only be used to scare away the crows. HDog what kinda artist are you if you can’t stand any critisism ? Get me some duct tape please !
Hey HDog – why the gratuitous insults? Seems a funny way to win friends and influence people on the fan website of the group whose tune you’ve sampled/arranged/whatever. The subtleties of your marketing strategy evidently elude me but perhaps that’s because I’m a gay moron without your superior music production skills.
“Wannabe 80s sequence children”? Oooh, you know how to hurt a boy. Peace & love.
My sincerist apologies..
I totally embrace the gay community and love many within it.. I was just having a bad day I guess..
Nevertheless, that said.. ..
The vox on the mp3 listing have been severely tampered with and the end result is what you see on the video!
Trust me.. I worked on this..
May you all live gay and prosper!

This movie is made in Poland
